i'm tired and my head hurts.
i went to a women's study/ kickoff for our women's group at church. the leader was talking about friends. she passed out a card and told us to write down three to six of our closest friends. girlfriends who we trust and who we can tell anything. you know what i wrote? .... anyone? ...... yup that is right. NOTHING.... no one. i have no friends because i cant be open and honest and let people in. i can't allow them to see what my life is really like. not just me, but dude. how can i reveal what burdens i carry when that would involve revealing things about him. about the things that i live with and deal with. so, the point is, now i really don't want to go back to church. i don't want to open up to anyone. but you are writing it here, you say. and yes you are right. but you my friends i cannot see, i don't have to look you in the face. i don't have to see you staring at me thinking what a fool i am.
well, thanks for listening. i just needed to get it out.

    <lj:music>the drone of politcal correctness</lj:music>

i am feeling a little(ok, a lot) discouraged this morning. as i watch our country take the world economy down in flames because greedy unethical brokers and politicians were more concerned about filling their own pockets than the well being of the country i am hit with just how bad i see things. the country is on the verge of handing over the most powerful position to a man with ties to racists and terrorists, won't be open and honest about his dealings in college and early years "in the world", and who, as far as i can tell, wants to break the backs of small business, large business and and anyone else who has made good for themselves. then i hear that yet another couple in the very small church that we go to on and off, have split. that brings the total to 7 couples in 8 years or so.

WTF????????

i am so discouraged by the state of everything. is there no hope? is there no one willing to stand up for what is true and right and honest? all we ever see is the bad the ugly the dishonest. how am i supposed to keep going when all i see is a slide into a horrible world where the fascists have moved to the left, and if i do not agree with someones "lifestyle" or opinion i'm branded as racist and homophobic. never mind that i have friends of all races and orientations who allow me to have my own opinions. is this the world we want? is thins the "change" we are looking for? what about a world where individuals put others first? what about looking out for your neighbor, without the government mandating it? why do we need to segregate schools so that those with non-conformist views will feel better? huh? this is becoming a world that hates individuality, stifles independent thought and says that i am not able to tell what is best for myself and i need the government to take care of me cause i'm too ignorant and stupid to take care of myself.

whatever....

so, it's 2:45 amd they are pulling the cars away from in front of my house. lets go back a couple of hours. i watched michael phelps, and fell asleep to the national anthem and his cute little smile..... next thing i know there was a really loud "Boom!" and dude was running down the stairs, in his boxers.... there was a car in the street, in not the right direction, and it was smoking- literally. so i grabbed some clothes, and shoes, and went to check it out. i made dude get dressed too.... dont' need that kind of trouble now, do we? apparently a girl hit the car parked on the street in front of the other side of the duplex and pushed it up onto the driveway. it barely missed their other (borrowed) car that was there by like a few inches. but i think their van is totaled s is the girl's car. i heard she went all "cops" on them and started yelling (she was drunk i guess). her mom showed up and she went all crazy yelling at the cops.... (she she doesn't watch does she? )
so the dogs are wide awake now and my adrenaline rush is wearing off. thank god our car was ok... and no one was hurt. so now i will try to go back to bed...nighty night!
